By its monumentality and its presence, the building reveals the respect and notoriety of the company. The concept of the iA Plaza is intended to underline the importance of Industrial Alliance's head office, while showing a desire to be close to people.
To do this, we made the decision to move away from the building and take possession of the grassy area, very close to the two majestic almost century-old elms. By fitting in a linear gesture along the Grande-Allée Street, the idea of an open space has developed, thus making it possible to offer a new space to employees.
The horizontality of the site makes it possible to introduce an obstacle-free course that blends naturally with the concept of the layout. Adorned with Corten steel, the planters harmonize with the orange hue of its counterpart's masonry, while the precast concrete echoes the Indiana stone cladding.
A sign visible in both summer and winter, a monument that is proudly displayed day and night.
